Worms, viruses... How do I protect my data and my PC? Tips on security and firewalls will be shared in the class... The internet is an essential tool, but as our students, teachers and administrators use it, our networks become laden with malicious traffic from both inside and out. The solution to this is prevention by design. This workshop will discuss assessing our current network design as well as using free, open-source and commercial tools to help prevent abuse caused by Worms, Viruses, Spyware and other malicious programs. A companion interactive online classroom will include all tools highlighted in the presentation and provide a medium for feedback and future updates.
